Welcome to my Family History Class Site

Family History and genealogy go hand in hand, you can not talk about one with out the other.  I have taught genealogy classes for probably 15 years, but have worked on my own family lines for 30 years. 

There is nothing so sure as change in the genealogy world.  I think back to the 1970's and how we were able to do our family history and genealogy, and now today we have so much available to us on the internet.  The age of computers has opened up for us a wealth of knowledge and we can now do more research at home on our own computers.  Genealogy is the second most popular hobby, coming in second place to gardening.  I tell my students that I will dig for my ancestors, but will not dig in the dirt!!!

This Family History and Genealogy site is dedicated to all my students who have kept me on my toes.  When a teacher teaches, they learn more than the students, because they have to study and find things that can help others.  Over the years, I have collected many websites and a lot of information that can help others to learn.  This site is a collection of my classes, internet sites and PowerPoint presentations that I use to teach.  You are free to copy and share the information here.  However, please give credit where credit is due.  I have done my best to provide the websites that information has been found on, please do the same.
